This is the homepage and online portfolio of Michelle Schwartz. It is part of koenig-schwartz.com, a site I operate in conjunction with my partner, Stark Koenig.
On this site you will find some examples of my photography, movies and other assorted multimedia projects. My musings on works in progress, assorted rants on pop culture, playlists, and general information on updates to the site and in my own life can be found in my blog.

Current Projects
Stark and I have both been hired as volunteer bloggers for Shameless Magazine, a Canadian feminist magazine for "girls who get it." You can access all my posts on my profile page.
Past Projects
Canadian Club: Your Mom Had Groupies is a fake ad campaign that I started as a way to protest the sexist Canadian Club ad campaign, "Damn Right Your Dad Drank It." The project was featured in Time Out Chicago.
Future Projects
Shoot the Freak: A Coney Island Memory Project: This summer was Coney Island's last season of operation before it closed so that developers could come in and destroy everything that makes it unique. Coney Island holds an important place in the history of New York and in my own life, and this August, Stark and I shot some footage of the rides while they were still open. I will be returning to New York and shooting more footage of the closed park, as well as conducting interviews with friends and families about their memories of Coney Island.
A Symphony of St. Jamestown is a movie about the St. Jamestown neighborhood in Toronto. Stark and I are currently in the planning stage. The movie will focus on the sound of the neighborhood, and we hope to begin gathering sound samples this Spring.
